ALTS Rules

1. No contact is allowed.

2. Any aggressive or dangerous play is strictly prohibited.

3. Players may only use their stick or skates to play the puck.

4. Players are not allowed to lie, sit, or kneel down on the ice. No player may lay their stick or any body part flat on the ice with the aim of blocking the puck.

5. If a player falls down during a game, do not play the puck until that player stands up again.

6. The puck may not leave the ice at any time. Any goals where the puck is not touching the ice will be disallowed.

7. Players must not raise any part of their stick above waist height. Players may however block (accidental) pucks in the air with a flat palm.

8. No slapshots

9. After a goal, unless the team that has been scored against has already started the play, the scoring team must return to their half.

Those who repeatedly, purposefully or aggressively break the rules will be banned, either for the evening or for a longer period. It is expected that all players will play within the ethos of ALTS, one of enjoyment and a non-professional level of ability.
